About Us

Lili of the World welcomes you to our world of adventures!

Dear reader,

Here is Dimo, your co-editor. Lili and I started exploring the world together somewhere around 2010. With time we visited so many places that we no longer recalled all the details from our trips. We realized we needed means of keeping our photos and the stories behind them. And this is how lilioftheworld.com was born – not just a blog, but a diary – a place to keep our memories. And also a place where we can share our experience and advice with anyone curious to learn more about travelling.

You can see in our posts that we have had the time of our lives until 2022, when Lili passed away after a bold, but uneven fight against cancer. I was and I am devastated. Yet, world goes on and when I travel I have the feeling part of Lili is always there by my side. So I decided to continue our journey and continue sharing it with you, my dear reader. Be inspired and enjoy!

Some words from me

As per education and occupation I am a financial services professional.

My inner self is an optimistic person, who believes that if you put strong and continuous efforts you can achieve anything. I strive for improving myself on a daily basis for everything that I do: from private life to professional endeavors.

My passion for travelling has initially started from my mother. She has always wanted to travel, but never had the means to. She passed away young and this was a turning point for me. In that moment I realized the important things in life aren’t material. This was the point when I decided to invest in experiences instead of big apartment or a fancy car. I have never regretted this decision. I have visited many countries, I learnt about different cultures and I had unique experiences. The key word here is diversity. I love the diversity of the world and I want to see as much as possible from it.

I feel humbled that I have the chance to travel and I try to utilize every opportunity to do it.
