In Memoriam Lili
Some words from Lili of the World herself
I was the luckiest and happiest person in the world when I started working as a flight attendant. This looked surreal. It was my childhood dream (as above said very out-of-reach one), but as people often say: you have to be careful what you dream of- dreams often come true.
Working for an airline was demanding, but at the same time rewarding job. It gave me the chance to travel, to develop communications skills and to have sufficient means to cover living during university years. I have enjoyed four wonderful years on this job. However, I knew that if I keep working this I won’t be able to build on my education, in which I have invested so much efforts. It wasn’t an easy decision to start from the scratch, but I had the courage to take it and start my professional career in Marketing.
For the last 10 years many things changed in my life: I moved to another country, I finished my PhD, I got promoted and I’m managing a great team in one of the best companies one can imagine working for. Along this journey I realized that travelling is an essential part of my life, it contributes to the way I see the world around and it helps me being a better person.
